The smarterlessons.com June calendar has been updated with group weekend skills clinics and weekday playing lessons. As our program gets more active, we encourage you to use the system to book your kids into your preferred spots ASAP.

NO-SHOW Policy Announcement

As we approach the summer and our junior golf events become even more popular, wait lists will form with kids hoping for a chance to join an event that has already filled up. We maintain a wait list for every event because:

1. plans often change for those who register well in advance for a clinic, and
2. sometimes we increase the number of spots available by adding instructors to an event.

Another way give kids on a wait list an opportunity for a spot is to make sure that members already on the roster cancel in advance when their plans change. Because we too often experience kids on a wait list and spots going unused, we are introducing a NO-SHOW policy.

A "NO-SHOW" is simply a hole created in our roster due to a child not showing up for his or her spot. If you fail to cancel in advance and your child NO-SHOWs, you will be notified by email that two spots will be marked off on your child's GROUP LESSON CARD at their next event check-in.

How can you avoid a NO-SHOW charge? When your plans change, log into your child's smarterlessons.com account and cancel their attendance to the event. Alternatively, you can reply to the reminder that's sent 2 days in advance to members on an event roster. Cancelling by using the smarterlessons.com account or replying to the reminder are the most reliable ways to avoid the NO-SHOW charge. Of course we will make exceptions to this policy in the case of family emergencies and injuries.

To help you remember the NO-SHOW policy, we are now including the following text in the automated email reminder that goes out 48 hours in advance to everyone who is on an event roster:

This reminder is being sent approximately 48 hours in advance of your child's group skills clinic or playing lesson. Please let us know if your plans have changed and you cannot attend this event. By doing so you can help ensure that a member on the wait list will get an opportunity to attend in your place. You can notify us that you are canceling your attendance by:
1-using into your smarterlessons.com account,
2-by replying to this message, or
3-by calling 858-452-3226 and leaving a message at extension 224.

If you do not cancel using one of the methods above and your child does not show for this event, you will receive an email notifying you that a "NO-SHOW" charge will be taken on your child's pre-paid GROUP LESSON CARD during check-in at a future event.
